Our Lady of Fatima Monthly News - July 2017
A few items of particular importance to our parishioners.
Our Lady of Fatima is one of only eighteen parishes in Colorado with a Perpetual Adoration Chapel. We need your help to keep it perpetual. Please consider signing up for a regular slot or as a substitute adorer through Pentecost 2018. We can’t do it without you. To become a scheduled or substitute Adorer or if you would like more information about Adoration, please take a look at the Perpetual Adoration Chapel webpage at
. In addition to a couple of overnight slots, we need coverage for 8 am on Tuesday and 1 pm on Thursday - signup at
For inspiration, look at this month’s Eucharistic miracle: Jesus has been leading us toward a greater faith in His Eucharistic Presence through all ages and in every corner of the world. A few of the many other things going on in our parish this month:
Fatima Centennial Celebration

Sunday Masses at 7:00 am, 8:30 am and 5:00 pm will be as normal. The 10:00 am Mass has been cancelled. The 5:00 pm Saturday anticipatory Mass has not been changed. How does our parish attract inquirers each year who consider becoming Catholic?
The short answer is
! When any parish has many inquirers year after year, it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit as parish members open their hearts to welcome others. Members of a welcoming and evangelizing community take seriously their call to share the Divine message of salvation. It happens in parish families, in the workplace, in gatherings with friends and neighbors, and in daily contact. Give thanks to God as He continuously strengthens each of us who seek to do his will in offering a gentle, humble, and clear welcome to the Catholic faith
Continuing this July 19! Over the course of this summer, the Fatima Young Adult Ministry invites you to deepen your faith, your relationships, and your connection with the parish community. While there will be many opportunities for each of these, the backbone of the summer will be a fresh batch of Summer of the Saints. These are great events to meet new people, get a good meal, and have a good time with other Fatima Young Adults. Adult leaders from the parish or archdiocese will share their faith story and their life story to inspire you, wherever you find yourself today. Kate Earleywine and Kate Martin will be hosting this in Golden on the 3rd Wednesdays of June, July, and August. July's speaker will be Deacon Mike Daly.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus council 9597 is back with their award-winning "Peaches For Seminarians" sales. Delicious Palisade peaches can be ordered after all Masses starting on July 8th through August 6th. Delivery of ordered peaches is scheduled for August 19th from 8 am until noon. The Knights accept cash, check and credit cards. Orders can also be dropped off at the parish office with checks. If you just want to make a donation for support of our seminarians, the knights will gladly accept those too! Through your generous support, OLF supported 16 young men in their vocational studies last year. We thank you.
The Knights are always looking for quality men who wish to be better fathers, husbands, and Catholics to join our family-oriented council. Consider coming to a social meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 pm, or talk to a Knight at the prayer program, the pancake breakfast, or join the Knights' FlockNote group at
