Crusader Chronicle - Thursday, July 27
From Principal Dan Courtney:
Greetings to all our CtRCS families,
I hope this latest Crusader Chronicle finds you well and enjoying these hot summer days! I have so enjoyed my first weeks here at school. Working closely with the rest of the administrative staff since my arrival has proven to be such a rewarding and fulfilling experience. We are hard at work preparing the school for the arrival of the teachers and, shortly there after, the students!
We are focusing on much of the feedback that was given in the parent questionnaires in the spring of last year, as we analyze and review the many facets of this amazing place. One thing is for sure, regardless of what we are engaged in, we are always remembering to
! For those of you who I may have confused with that statement, that is a reference to our theme for the year -
Fully Rely On God
! One of my favorite things to do each year in Catholic school is to develop our yearly theme. I think we found one that fits perfectly as we begin this new journey together.
I look forward to meeting many of you this evening at the meet and greet where I will speak a bit more about myself, along with my vision for the future of Christ the Redeemer Catholic School. In the meantime, I do want to direct your attention to one change we have made to the weekly dismissal schedule:
In order to assure that we provide ample instructional time every day of the week, and to fulfill our Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops - Education Department (formerly TCCED) bell-to-bell requirements, we will now dismiss students
Monday - Friday at 3:15 p.m.
Early dismissal (2:15) will no longer take place on Friday. Instead we will have one early dismissal on the first Tuesday of the month, which will be utilized for school-wide staff development.
