Church of the Visitation
Adult Faith Formation Survey
One-time mayor of New York City Ed Koch was famously known for (among other things) his phrase "How am I doin'?" Here's your chance to let us know how Visitation is doin'!
Adult Faith Formation Ministry
has been fully operational for the past 8 years at Visitation, bringing speakers who have set us on fire; bible studies which have enlightened and enriched us; Parish Retreats that set the tone for our spiritual lives and many, many other events that have helped to shape us as a parish on the journey of faith. We would like you to voice your input!
We'd like your thoughts on THREE brief questions:
What can Visitation do to further your faith journey?
What future activities would you like to see at Visitation?
How are your needs being met?
You can answer these questions either at Mass this weekend (we will have cards available) or by visiting the page on our parish website:
Either way, please take a moment to do so and we appreciate your time in doing so. Thank you and may God bless you richly!
Our FORMED Recommendation for the Week
Catholic Christianity:A Complete Catechism of Catholic Beliefs Based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church
by Peter Kreeft
For the first time in 400 years the Catholic Church has authorized an official universal catechism, the
Catechism of the Catholic Church,
which instantly became an international best-seller. Using this official Catechism, the highly-regarded author and professor, Peter Kreeft, presents a complete compendium of all the major beliefs of Catholicism written in his readable and concise style.
Catechism of the Catholic Church
was written for the express purpose of grounding and fostering catechisms based on it for local needs and ordinary readers. Kreeft does this by offering a thorough summary of Catholic doctrine, morality, and worship in a popular format with less technical language. He presents a systematic, organic synthesis of the essential and fundamental Catholic teachings in the light of the Second Vatican Council and the whole of the Church's Tradition.
This book is the most thorough, complete, and popular catechetical summary of Catholic belief in print that is based on the universal Catechism.
