And the Funnies:
And old Irish priest visiting in the north of Scotland
had finished his vacation and on the return trip found himself temporarily marooned in a small Scottish town with but one hotel. The Scotsman who managed the establishment was also the night clerk, bellboy, chambermaid and porter. The priest signed the register and the proprietor took his bags, leading him two flights up to this room. A large oil painting dominated the wall above the iron bedstead. The priest was enraptured, "What a beautiful portrait of our Holy Father the Pope!"
With that, the Scotsman muttered under his breath, "The crafty ould fox."
"I hope," said the priest, "that you are not referring to His Holiness."
"I am not," replied the Scotsman. "I am referring to Angus MacPherson who sold me the painting and told me it was Bobby Burns in his royal Masonic regalia."
Why did the turkey cross the road?
I don’t know.
It was Thanksgiving Day, and he wanted people to think he was a chicken!
