From Mrs. Butler
We were so excited to welcome Mr. Bill Koch, father of eight children, six of whom graduated from Elyria Catholic, Matthew ‘87, Kristin ‘93, Julie ‘95, Benjamin ‘96, Katie ‘98 and Marty ’03, to an EC Biology class to share his academic story and experiences with salt crystals.
Our EC Family is Growing
Congratulations to Katie & Nick Hallal on the birth of their second baby boy, Thomas James who was born on November 16th. He weighted 6lbs, 12 ozs. We are looking forward to meeting him very soon!
In Katie's absence, Mrs. Sheila Lewicki will be teaching her biology classes. Mrs. Lewicki, who has nearly 25 years of teaching experience primarily in high school, is also a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital. Learn more about Mrs. Lewicki in next week's issue.
There will be an additional Placement Test tomorrow, Dec. 2nd, beginning at 8:30 a.m. for any students who were unable to attend the October or November test days. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Ziegelmeyer at firstname.lastname@example.org.

News from Advancement
This week, over 40 EC students volunteered their study hall time to call and reconnect with Alumni from the Classes of 1951 through 1959. We were excited to receive a gift from an alum in Cleveland, Tennessee. Students also wrote thank you notes to over 100 donors who gave gifts to Elyria Catholic during the months of October and November and 20 donors who gave us gifts on Giving Tuesday alone. The students were listening to Christmas Carols and wishing all those they talked with and wrote to a Merry Christmas!
