First Things First
First Things First
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, (Jeremiah 1:5a)
There is a first time in everything. Every year we are given a blank book and today we turn to the first blank page of that a 365-page book.
What are you going to put down on today's page?
I sure hope that you put God first. When you put God first, all other things fall into their place. If you read the live of the Saints, you will see that their lives were filled with God-first moment. Why don’t we learn from them and imitate their success? What is their secrets? Paul Wilkes, in his book-The 7 Secrets of Successful Catholic, he wrote:
1)Stay close to the Eucharist
2)Are members of a faith community-mystical body of Christ
3)Rely on their conscience and good judgement—but never alone
4)Regularly do things that call them out of themselves
5)Always remember that God is ultimately merciful and forgiving
6)Live in the moment, recognizing daily opportunities for holiness
7)Believe in prayer and pray regularly.
What are your goals for the new year?
Before you answer this question, I think you should first ask "Why did God put me on this earth in the first place?" Another way to put it would be, "What is the primary purpose of my existence on earth?"
Let us take these 7 secrets to heart and make 2018 a successful year!
The LORD bless you and keep you!
The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!
The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
May our Blessed Mother Mary, Mother of God, intercede for us all.
Hail Mary full of Grace…
Happy New Year to you and yours!
Peace in Infant Jesus,
