St. Joseph's Life Teen
Looking at LIFE TEEN in 2018
Joy to the World! The LORD has come!
Hope you received the King with great JOY!
2017 was a whirlwind year and there is a lot happening in 2018!
This newsletter is loaded so read to the bottom.
NCYC was very gift bearing! Thomas, Abigail, Campbell, Felix, Joshua, Victoria, Katie, Zach P, and Aisling were privileged to present gifts to Archbishop José H. Gomez during the final Mass all 25 of us took something away from the time we spent in Indianapolis with 20,000 other Catholics celebrating young people in our Church.
Life Nights we discussed the
wonder of His Love.
First we spoke about how to be happy and stay happy, what it really means to live for Christ; the beatitudes, living the law of love, trusting Church authority, and forming our conscience. Then we began honest conversations about our desires to love and be loved. Forming relationships. The nuptial meaning of the body, the purpose of sex, self-giving love (FTFF: free, total, faithful, fruitful), faithfully living out self-giving love and chastity in all vocations and looking at the truth, beauty, and goodness of our desires and an understanding that we (including our sexuality) are created “very good” by God.
The creativity and competitions we have had during Life Nights have been a great highlight. Building community - a group of souls who can hangout and have fun, try to top each other, and build each other up and laugh together and make Norma cry has drawn us together and makes us wonder,
what will happen in 2018?
Can we have more fun? More competitions? More JOY? I think so!!! Hope you join us.

NCYC 2019 Fundraisers
We have started raising money to attend NCYC in 2019. Donations for the first 50 Parish Calendars are being collected. If you know a Knight of Columbus member, thank them for the donation that more than helped print this years calendar. Offer them to anyone you know!
Annual Life Teen Valentine's Dinner will be held Saturday, February 10 in the parish hall. This formal service to parishioners who like to celebrate love is a great event. Please mark you calendar and invite those you know who have demonstrated LOVE. Sign up for donations and workers will be coming soon!
