Confirmation Retreat March 2-4

Hi Parents! We have a large group getting Confirmed this year and are getting all of the backend paperwork in place for this very special day.
Thank you for your help & patience in the process. I'm still sorting through Confirmation paperwork and will be in touch with any questions etc.
***PARENTS, PLEASE NOTE CONFIRMATION RETREAT PAPERWORK & PAYMENT IS NOW DUE AT OUR NEXT OUTCRY NIGHT JANUARY 21, 2018 - SEE BELOW DETAILS
PARENTS AND/OR SPONSORS ALONG WITH STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COME TO THE CONFIRMATION NIGHTS JANUARY 21, JANUARY 28 & FEBRUARY 11.
6:00 - 8:00 PM IN THE GREAT HALL (then we will go into youth space).
(IF YOUR STUDENT IS NOT MAKING THEIR CONFIRMATION THIS YEAR PLEASE STILL SEND THEM ON THESE NIGHTS, MEETING IN THE GREAT HALL, AND THEN THEY WILL BE MEETING WITH OTHER PEERS FOR AN OUTCRY LIFE NIGHT IN ANOTHER ROOM)
CONFIRMATION RETREAT IS MANDATORY: (Paperwork is due by JANUARY 21, 2018)
Date: March 2 - 4
Drop off & Pick up at Emmaus. Drop off is March 2 at 5:30 PM meeting in the Narthex of the church. Pick up is March 4, 12Noon meeting in the PLC.
Location of actual retreat: Camp Buckner in Burnet
There are (2) forms. Make sure to send in both forms and a copy of your insurance card (front & back):
is: May 18, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM meeting in Narthex of Church (Sponsors should attend. Parent can stand in if needed)
is: May 19 at 5:00 PM Mass (Arrival is 4:00 PM)
CONFIRMATION DRESS CODE: Ladies please wear white dresses. (shoulders must be covered so please bring a white cardigan if needed). Guys please wear a white shirt and black pants. (Suit jacket ok)

Return Sunday, March 4 12:00 PM - Parent pick up in PLC
All retreat chaperones are Ethics and Integrity (EIM) compliant with the Diocese of Austin, which includes a background check.
What to bring:
Bible***need to bring bible for activities
Casual, comfortable, & modest clothing Comfortable, appropriate clothes (Nike shorts/leggings, tennis shoes, and T-shirts are the usual attire). One T-Shirt will be provided. Preferably not Nike shorts for Mass on Saturday.
extra set of clothing in case of wet weather
Closed toe shoes
Sweatshirt or jacket (we will be outside at night)
Reusable water bottle
Sleeping bag/pillow or sheet & blanket
Sun screen/bug spray
Recreational equipment (i.e. Frisbee, soccer ball etc.)
Optional; Snack to share; to avoid allergies-
No peanuts please!
Reminder when packing:
we are going for a couple of days, do not over-pack
all students’ belongings (sleeping bag & overnight bag) need to fit in the seat area of school bus with student.
Soft sided bags work best, rolling suitcases do not fit on bus
Please leave all cell phones at home so students can devote their attention to the graces the Lord has in store for them.
Students are responsible for items brought to camp so please consider whether possible loss or damage is worth bringing the item. No electronic games please, we want students to be engaged in building a community atmosphere.
