Immaculate Conception (Irvington)
ICC NEWSLETTER - JANUARY 12, 2018
We Share, We De-Decorate, We Do
This week we began the
First Week in Ordinary Time
. Let it be known that there is nothing "ordinary" about
in the Church, least of all at Immaculate Conception Church! Just as we begin to catch our breaths from one of the shortest and fastest Christmas Seasons we've seen, we are bracing ourselves for a handful of quick and short weeks leading up to - you guessed it -
Here's the news!
Were you a ParishPay subscriber?
If you haven't transitioned to the new "WeShare" online payment program, now is the time to do it.
It is very user friendly, with a complete listing of all the Second Collections, and the reason for each. All you need to do is:
Click on the image above. (or
Click on login.
Ask to reset your password.
If that doesn't work, or you're not sure what email you subscribed with, just call the Rectory. We'll take it from there!
Once you update your information and schedule a donation, you will receive advanced reminders when a payment you have scheduled will be made on your behalf, and for which collection. Once your payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation notice detailing your payment and the amount. Reporting functionality is good, as well.
So... if you were a ParishPay subscriber and haven't joined We Share yet... Come back!
If you are just curious about how it works, give it a visit by clicking the image or this link:
Have a question? Call the Rectory. It's that easy.
Tomorrow at 10AM all things
will be coming down from our Church. Garland, wreaths, trees, lights, and decorations will be moved lovingly back to storage - but not from our memories. It's quick work, made sweeter with coffee and pastries for all who come. Join the gang!
But remember... we may be removing the "external", but
Christmas will remain in our hearts
year round. (Or at least until St. Valentine's Day which is
We Do Something!
As we have been saying since January 1st ... There is so much you can do for the Church and our church. How you do it is entirely up to you and what interests you. This weekend, as the
Sisters of Life
visit our Masses, we have an opportunity to do more to save lives.
Pray. Refer. Support.
All can be done from the comfort of your homes - or not.
Doing something during
espect Life Month
gives you the chance to step off the balcony, as Pope Francis says, and get into the messy, noisy crowd by taking action to thwart the cycle of death.
Your prayers, referrals, and support are a stick in the spokes of a wheel turning in the wrong direction. Listen at Mass this weekend. Then
Much Deserved Recognition
On a final note, it is so nice to hear that so many of you who donated to the Renew Rebuild Campaign have been receiving tokens of appreciation from the Archdiocese of New York, and even invitations to events around Westchester and Manhattan. You deserve it! The Archdiocese is showing its appreciation, but let there be no doubt that the greatest appreciation comes from Our Father. A parent always rejoices at the good work of their child.
I wish all of you a wonderful weekend. You deserve it. See you at Mass.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
