Students: The UCCC (University of California Catholic Conference) is coming up...
Dear UCSB Students,
My name is Leanne Jarvis. I am a student at UC Berkeley and part of the planning team for this year's University Catholic Conference of California, which will be held on the UC Berkeley campus this coming President's Day weekend, February 16-19, 2018. UCCC is an annual conference to unite Roman Catholic college students around California for a weekend of fellowship, faith, and fun. The weekend will be filled with keynote talks given by nationally known Catholic speakers including
Bishop Michael Barber, Sister Bethany Madonna, Tim Staples, beatboxer and comdiean Paul Kim, Andrew Brown and Klarissa Chichioco. Breakout workshops on topics such as prayer, evangelization, and vocational discernment, Eucharistic Adoration, mass, a visit to the Oakland Cathedral, and small group activities/discussions.
I would like to extend an invitation to the Catholic student community of UCSB for this year's conference. We are hoping for students from universities across the state, and we would be thrilled to welcome a group of UCSB students. Registration is only $95, and Berkeley students will host visiting students, so there are no additional housing fees for the weekend.
Registration and more information about the conference can be found at:
