Right to Life 2018.
In an historic event, for the first time a sitting President directly addressed the 45th annual March for Life in Washington.
While Presidents Reagan and George W. Bush have also addressed the marchers, they used either telephone or recorded message. President Trump instead did so via live satellite feed from the White House. Last year, Vice President Mike Pence addressed the March in person.
The President's 10-minute speech can be seen on the
stream here with an introduction by Vice President Pence and followed by a message from Speaker of the House Paul Ryan:
Following the Supreme Court decision to
legalize abortion in 1973
March for Life
has taken place in Washington D.C. as well as related events in many towns and cities throughout the United States.
The importance of defending innocent life cannot be overstressed. As the
Catechism of the Catholic Church
"The legitimate defense of persons and societies is not an exception to the prohibition against the murder of the innocent that constitutes intentional killing. 'The act of self-defense can have a double effect: the preservation of one's own life; and the killing of the aggressor. . . . The one is intended, the other is not.' Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life. Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law." (
CCC 2263, 2270-2271
We continue to work and pray for restoration in recognizing the dignity of human life and the protection of innocent human life from conception until natural death and applaud this administration's efforts to promote a
Culture of Life
Any country that accepts abortion is the poorest of the poor.

One of the most compelling pro-life documentaries ever produced! 40 features inspiring stories and deeply personal interviews with many of the biggest names in the Pro-Life movement, such as: Lila Rose, the President of Live Action; Abby Johnson, Former Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic Director and Founder of "And Then There Were None;" Rebecca Kiessling, Pro-life Speaker and Conceived in Rape; Jeanne Monahan, President of March for Life Education and Defense Fund; Dr. Day Gardner, President of the National Black Pro- Life Union; Ryan Bomberger, Founder of Radiance Foundation; Keith Mason, Co-founder of Personhood USA; Joe Scheidler, Founder of the Pro-Life Action League; David Bereit, National Director of 40 Days for Life, and many more!
N.B. This movie is not rated, but was created with an adult audience in mind. It may contain violence indicative of the life and times of the saint or character portrayed. We would recommend Parental Guidance and that parents preview it before watching with children.
