Shrove Tuesday - February 13th
Calling all volunteers!
The Youth Group is in need of hands and hearts, both adult and youth, for our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, 13 February.
Prep starts at 4:30 PM and runs through 8:00 PM when we'll need help cleaning up. Give a little time or a lot, every contribution is deeply appreciated and blessed. Volunteers are urged to contact Tammy at
so we can add you to our schedule. When writing please indicate the time you can lend. Thank you!!!"
Who will you invite?
at St. Mark’s begins on Sunday, February 25th, with a introductory session that gives potential participants a chance to see if Alpha is for them. Alpha is a practical introduction to the Christian faith and is open to anyone. It runs as a series of weekly meetings which each involve an informal meal, a talk, and a small group discussion. It is relaxed, nonthreatening, low key, friendly, and fun. Alpha is for everyone, especially those wanting to investigate Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to the church, and those wanting to brush up on the basics. But it all starts with you! We’d love it if you would sign up to attend. We’d love it even more if you invited someone you know who might benefit from it. Remember, while the program is 10 weeks long, all you are inviting them to is the introductory session, then they can make up their own mind about the rest. And, they (and you, if you come) get a free meal, and without even cleaning up! Please consider inviting a friend, relative, or co-worker. It all starts at 6 pm on February 25th! Contact Chip Hughes for details.
Keansburg Soup Kitchen - Wednesday, February 7th
A little advanced notice this week - we will be going down to Keansburg the first Wednesday in February with our famous meatloaves! Please click
for the list of needs and the recipe. Thank you!
For many years, members of our parish have visited elderly parishioners who are no longer able to get out on their own. We would like to formalize this activity: Would you like to help out? Do you know of an elderly parishioner who you feel might benefit from visits? If so, please talk with Nancy Brangaccio or Jan Williams.
Come and join us for painting or other arts and crafts on a Tuesday in the Arts Studio downstairs. We usually arrive at around noon and finish by 4:00pm. Come for as long as you like. We work on our own paintings, have a great time together and help each other out. For more info contact Jenny Phillips 908-451-9638.
