Austin Interfaith is a non-partisan, multi-ethnic, multi-issue organization of 43 congregations, public schools, and unions who work together to address public issues that affect the well being of families and neighborhoods in our community. Austin Interfaith is having a House Meeting Training on Saturday February 17, from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM, at room Multi BC (second level of Emmaus PLC). This training will teach how to lead a house meeting. The purpose of the house meeting is to give community members an opportunity to voice concerns and to begin working together as citizens and neighbors to develop creative solutions to common issues in collaboration with their elected officials. For more information please contact Christina Leal at 210-508-8516.
Men of Emmaus adding Thursday Evening time
The Adult Faith Formation Ministry and the Men of Emmaus Group is inviting all the Men in our Faith Community to be part of the Men's Faith Formation Sessions. This is a great opportunity to grow in your faith, share the scripture and connect with other men trying to deepen in their own faith. Men of Emmaus meet regularly at 6:00 AM on Fridays in the Great Hall. Now they are adding an evening session beginning Thursday, March 1 at 7:00 PM in Multi B/C.
Meetings are an hour. The inauguration meeting is this Thursday, March 1. This is a growing ministry and, for those involved, a very good one – please join!
A Lent to Remember - A Lenten Encounter with Mercy
Lent is a time to reflect on our relationships, with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and most importantly, a time to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. How do we do that? Please join us for A Lent to Remember - a four-week, video-based study that uses the Augustine Institute programs
to provide a powerful presentation of the mercy of God in the Sacrament of Confession. Just four Tuesdays, February 20 & 27 and March 6 & 20 at 7:00 PM in Multi B/C of the Parish Life Center. Material Fee is $8. Sign-up on-line or call the Parish Office:
Remember when you were in High School?
Remember your hair style and clothes? Did you play sports, play in band, theatre? What was your GPA? Did you go home or to work after school? Do you remember worrying, being fearful, being pressured? Do you remember trying to fit in and not feeling adequate?
Novena for High Schoolers:
We will be having an online novena for the special intentions of our parishioners in High School (and all high school students). It is this novena
and you will receive an email reminder each morning with the prayers and special intentions. This novena begins on Thursday, February 22 and ends on Friday, March 2 which is the day our high schoolers go on their confirmation retreat. Click below if you want to be part of this prayer event.
Please pray that our high school students allow Christ's love inside their hearts!

And the Punnies:
you can distinguish an alligator from a crocodile by paying attention to whether the animal sees you later or in a while.
