Bringing Awareness to Child Sex Trafficking

April is Child Abuse Awareness month and the Fort Worth Diocese is committed to creating a Safe Environment for children, youth and vulnerable adults. Bishop Olson highly encourages all parishes to participate in highlighting the importance of protecting minors.
The Child Sex Trafficking Awareness Meeting is being held by St. Ann's Safe Environment Dept. to bring awareness to all of you, that Tarrant County is one of the top counties in our NATION to be affected daily with Child Sex Trafficking! I was shocked to hear this! This meeting will bring awareness on how to keep our children safe in a
"not so safe"
"Not in my Neighborhood" is a members organization of the Fort Worth Police Dept. 5 Stones Task Force who brings awareness to those who think that it could never happen to us or maybe think that it's a problem in smaller, poorer countries.
Some of our guest speakers will consist of
FWPD from the Human Trafficking unit,
Tarrant County Sherriff's Office, Homeland Security of North Texas Trafficking and a Forensic Investigator who works closely with Alliance for Children.
