St. Padre Pio Relics at Cathedral on Friday, April 13
The relics will arrive at the Cathedral at 7 a.m. and may be venerated at any time, except during Mass.
• Three Masses in honor of St. Pio will be celebrated: at 8 a.m., noon, and by Bishop Carl A. Kemme at 7 p.m.
• Confessions will be heard from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., including during the noon Mass.
• The event ends at 11 p.m. when the relics will be removed.

Preparing for Confirmation
Confirmation Practice is Sunday, April 15th at 12:30pm
Confirmation will be on Thursday, April 19th at 6:30pm. Candidates must be in Church at 5:30pm, one hour before Mass, all dressed up for pictures and to be seated. Sponsors should arrive no later than 6:00pm to be seated.
We have a professional photographer who will take group pictures and pictures throughout the Confirmation rite. Families may not take pictures during the service. Bishop Kemme will make himself available at the reception for pictures.
Religious article gifts will be blessed during the reception.
Do you and your spouse need a date to reconnect and have some fun? Come to date night this Saturday at 6:30pm in Charity Hall. Drop off your children and enjoy some time to yourself.
Altar Society Meeting, Wednesday, April 18

We will have a guest speaker – Connie Erbert, Autism Behavioral Consultant
Connie will speak to us about autism and its challenges from her many years of experience in teaching and mentoring young adults with autism. She will speak at the conclusion of our meal before the business meeting.
The Knights of Columbus Council 16700 at Christ the King is inviting all practicing Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, to join the Knights of Columbus during an Admissions Ceremony on April 25, in Charity Hall at 6:30 pm. A $5 admission fee, and Completing the Admissions ceremony is required to become a Knight of Columbus. For questions about the Knights of Columbus please call, Larry Winter at 204-0700.

A special effort to support our local Catholic pregnancy center, A Better Choice, will follow each mass
. This ministry provides hope and help for women struggling with the challenges of unexpected pregnancy and for those who have made a choice for life under difficult circumstances. The Conference for disciples, stewards, evangelists and catechists is Saturday, April 21st, at Church of the Magdalen.
Bishop Kemme will celebrate a special Mass at 9:00 AM
Curtis Martin is the keynote speaker – he is the founder and CEO of FOCUS. Fellowship of Catholic University Students. There are over 600 missionaries serving in colleges around the country and over 24,000 alumni! Curtis will help us understand or remind us that our relationship with Jesus is the most important relationship that we have.
Fr. Jarrod Lies, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish will share what it means to be a Christian disciple.
After lunch we will have the opportunity to ask questions of our panel that includes: Curtis, Fr. Jarrod, Fr. John Jirak, pastor of Church of the Magdalen, Anthony Keiser, Director of the Office of Faith Formation and others.
The conference will close with Adoration with Wichita Adores Ministries. We will experience the Eucharistic heart of Jesus in a new way. It is a beautiful experience.
This conference will help us to deepen our faith, learn how to encounter or reencounter Jesus and how to share this encounter with our families, parish family and community.
Time to Spring Clean
The date for our parish garage sale is May 31st - June 2nd. All proceeds will go towards rennovation. Please start going through your stuff and setting aside items for the sale. Items can be dropped off at the gym starting May 27th. Please contact Toni Heincker at 316-200-0085 with any questions.
