St Gabriel to hear a great band concert this Saturday night. The band members are all volunteers and do not get paid for their performances, but many are professional musicians having worked with artists like Karen Carpenter, the Rolling Stones, and Frankie Vallie!

St Gabriel has had a long-standing relationship with The Center in Quito, Ecuador (formerly named the Working Boys Center). The proceeds from this big band dance will go to them so they can continue empowering families to break the cycle of generational poverty. Learn more about The Center HERE.
Can't make the dance? We welcome donations to support this most worthy cause! This is the only fundraiser for the year for our international ministry.
VETERANS DAY RECEPTION

St Gabriel's Military Ministry will be hosting a reception to honor our veterans THIS Sunday, Nov. 13. The reception will be in the PARISH HALL located in the Kelly Center after the 11:00 AM Mass. All are invited. Please join us as we thank and honor our veterans.
SVDP DONATION DRIVE - THIS WEEKEND
Nov. 12, 2-6 PM and Nov. 13, 8 AM - 6 PM
The SVDP truck will be behind the community center this weekend. We will collect what you donate---gently used household items, including furniture---to give to the SVdPS Thrift Store, where they will be resold. Generated funds will benefit people in need in North Texas, including our neighbors here in the McKinney area.
- Bring items you can donate to the truck Saturday, November 12 from 2-6 p.m. or Sunday, November 13 from 8 a.m. -6 p.m.
HELP FEED A FAMILY A THANKSGIVING MEAL
Turkey Basket Program
As you are probably aware, the prices of groceries have greatly increased. The Men's Club has estimated it will be 71% more expensive to purchase all the food for the turkey baskets this year. Consider a donation to this worthwhile program OR bring a frozen turkey this weekend and donate it to the effort. The turkeys are the most expensive part of the basket but also the most important for the Thanksgiving meal. Also, we are collecting leftover Halloween candy. Please leave the candy in the donation bin in the narthex and the Men's Club will add it to the baskets.
You can also volunteer to help with the project next week. There are volunteer opportunities in putting the baskets together and distributing them on Nov. 19.
