Giving Gardens at the Ross Farm
Sunday, May 20, is garden planting and blessing day at the Ross Farm
for St. Mark's, St. Bernard's and St. John On The Mountain, starting at 11:30, right after church. We'll have refreshments, the kids can plant their seedlings that have grown from the seeds they planted recently in Sunday School, and we'll have additional seedlings so all can join in. If you'd prefer to spectate, come by and cheer the kids and planters on and join in the garden blessing. Please come to church dressed for the occasion, and bring a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, gloves and a trowel if you have one. It's been a long March and April -- let's get the garden kicked off with lots of fellowship and joy!
We are holding a fundraiser for our Ross Farm Giving Gardens at Back To Nature (3055 Valley Road) from noon to 4 p.m. this Saturday 5/5 and Sunday 5/6.
Please come by and support our gardens by purchasing a seedling pack for donation, while you are shopping for your own garden needs there. Thank you for your support!
Hope for the Homeless Veterans
Memorial Day is coming and it's time again to make our donations in support of the terrific folks at Community Hope at the VA, who help homeless veterans restart their lives. As we did last year this time,
I will once again be working with St. Mark's kids and teens on May 20
during Sunday morning class time to pack individual bags for vets, and to decorate these bags and include notes and drawings. Our aim is to add a personal touch to our giving to make each of these phenomenal men and women feel special and appreciated!
Parents, it would be wonderful if you would send your child or teen in with donations between now and May 20 so they each feel like they are really helping.
Community Hope is getting lots of food donations right now, so they asked us to focus on their big need for toiletries and socks.
Remember, we need individual (not travel or jumbo) sizes of these items for men and women to fill our bags: toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash, deodorants, body wash or soap, lotions, wipes, shampoos and conditioners, shaving items and socks.
I will continue collecting right up to Memorial Day and, of course, we can deliver larger sizes of goods, too. I will be happy to shop for items, so we have a basket in the Narthex for donations if that's easier than shopping, or drop them in the collection plate or at the office, marked "Community Hope."
Thank you! Emie Williams
Morristown Soup Kitchen
We will be going to the Morristown Soup Kitchen on Wednesday, May 30th and need volunteers...there is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. Please contact Kit McLaughlan is you need further information, email@example.com. Thank you!
Thank you from the Rummage Sale Team
Thank you St. Mark’s for another successful Rummage Sale. Your donations were fantastic, your help invaluable, and your baked goods delicious. Throughout the week, so many of you graciously assisted us from set up to clean up, and we shared great fellowship.
We are pleased to announce that the Spring 2018 Rummage Sale raised about $11,000. As this is one of St. Mark’s biggest fund raising activities, everyone should be very proud of the success it has achieved.
Again, many thanks for all your efforts. Your participation was greatly appreciated.

We work on our own paintings, have a great time together and help each other out. For more info contact Jenny Phillips 908-451-9638.
