Our Lady of Fatima Parish News - May 2018
A few items of particular importance to our parishioners.
There is no better way to spend time than with the Lord in Adoration. Our Adoration Chapel is perpetual only because of the dedicated adorers who keep vigil. Please consider signing up to be a regular or substitute Adorer through Pentecost 2019. It takes all of us to keep our Perpetual Adoration Chapel open. Signup at
. We are looking to fill Monday at 6 pm and Friday at 11 pm, as well as looking to form teams to cover a couple of the open overnight slots. If you would be willing to cover one of these slots once every 8-12 weeks, please email us at
A number of parishioners have reported receiving fraudulent emails, purportedly from Father Henri, requesting “a favor” and a reply email. After replying, an offer is made to buy gift cards for Father to give out. These are fraudulent and have been reported to the authorities. Father’s emails only come from his “fatimalakeood.com” email address, and you should never send money in response to an email unless you have spoken to the person sending it.
Please hold the date for the
Corpus Christi procession

Knights of Columbus
The next Knights of Columbus Pancake breakfast will be May 20th after the Sunday 7:00 and 9:00 am Masses. We would like to thank everyone who came to the Pancake Breakfast on April 15th. We were able to raise $536 for the Our Parish’s assistance for Habitat for Humanity. As a reminder the Knights of Columbus Pancake breakfasts are donation only and helps us to financially support various activities and programs throughout the year. The net proceeds from this month’s breakfast will be donated to the Gabriel House. This will be our last breakfast before we take a break for the summer. Come join us for some pancakes, crepes, omelets, and mimosas while supporting families with young children and pregnant women.
The Knights are always looking for quality men who wish to be better fathers, husbands, and Catholics to join our family-oriented council. Consider coming to a social meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 pm, or talk to a Knight at the pancake breakfast, or join the Knights' FlockNote group at

PARISH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
New Parishioners Ministry!
Our goal is to personally reach out to new parishioners and make them feel welcome and loved at Our Lady of Fatima. We are planning on doing this by looking for a team of volunteers to meet one on one with a new parishioner. On average, a volunteer would meet with a new parishioner once every two months. This would entail calling/emailing the new parishioner, meeting with them one on one at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, and showing Christ’s love to them by creating friendships with them. Contact or Danielle Jones at 303-233-1283 or
Fatima Mass Greeters
Would you like to become a Greeter for weekend Mass? We invite you to sign up and try it out! We especially need Greeters for Saturday 5 pm and Sunday 5 pm Masses. Being a Greeter is simple! We arrive 15-20 min. early to Mass and station ourselves at an exterior door of the church. As people arrive, we offer a friendly hello and open the door. If you are feeling a nudge from the Holy Spirit, email Elisa Foster at email@example.com..
