ICC NEWSLETTER - August 3, 2018
For those of you who have the great pleasure of being away, you haven't missed much in terms of the weather. Irvington has been "
". However, a little humidity (100%) is not keeping us from working hard to plan a great 2018-2019 season. Here's the latest.
"There is nothing so great as the Eucharist. If God had something more precious, He would have given it to us."
St. John Vianney
It's been pretty quiet in Church these past few weekends. Now, we're not saying that nobody's been coming... but our pews have been "underutilized" to say the least.
If you're away, no matter where you are, we hope that you have been attending Mass.
It is the outcome of Christ's time with us. It is the most important part of our Faith.
OUR CHILDREN, OUR FUTURE
In case we didn't mention it earlier, the
ICC REP Program needs Catechists
. Our youth is our future. They are the future of our Parish, and they are
the future of
. However, without volunteers to teach them the Faith... we can't nurture them. How can you help? Come to Mass, bring them to Mass, bring your teens to Mass (it is more important than you think), and teach our children. You can teach them with your example... but the study of the Faith is essential. For some additional incentive, Catechists are eligible for 50% - 100% tuition remission. That's a big help to families with small children.
Pray about it, then join our family of Catechists.
There are big things in the works.
CATHOLICISM - THE SERIES
It has been 10 years since
began filming the
. To celebrate the incredible impact the series has had over the years, Word on Fire is inviting everyone to a screening event.

"All the good works in the world are not equal to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass because they are the works of men; but the Mass is the work of God."
St. John Vianney
That's all for today. Take the words of St. John Vianney to heart. Take your family to Mass on Sunday, no matter where you are.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
