Half-way through summer!
Can you believe it’s already August? The summer is half over. I’ve even seen “back-to-school” sales on TV recently. I hope you’re enjoying the warmth of these days. (We’ll look back on them longingly in February when the high might be 15 degrees above zero). On a “warmer” note I do hope you’ll be able to join us for our two parishes' Summer Outdoor Masses!
gathers at 10:30 this coming Sunday, August 5th, in Egypt Park for our normal 10:30 Mass. I promise not to homileticly wax and wane too long. Why? Because we all want to get to the hot dogs beans, salads, and of course, chocolate brownies with chocolate frosting and no-nuts! I’m just kidding --I have no idea what the menu will bring . But I do know that we have an army of volunteers to help. Thanks to everyone who has put so much planning into this event.
Thanks to everyone at
as well, because at Assumption we’ll be having our own Mass in Park on Sunday, August 12, at 10:00 am. (There will be NO 11am Mass at the church.) Once again, I promise not to expound on the Biblical texts for an endless sermon. Why? Because we’re having (and now I think I’m on firmer ground with the menu) breakfast pizza when Mass is over. My only question is this: If we’re having pizza for breakfast what in the world will be have for lunch that day? (No, once again, I’m kidding!)
I hope to see everyone either at Egypt Park or at the Amphitheater in Perinton Center Park for our summer outdoor Masses and celebrations.
