Mrs. Kirschner's Corner
Thanks to everyone for a great first week! I was nice to see the smiling faces carry through after the first day.
We'd like to welcome Pam Miller to our St. Nicholas family. Mrs. Miller will be working in the cafeteria, replacing Mrs. Volz, who resigned recently. Pam has worked in the cafeteria at St. Paul and Sunman Elementary, as well as helped out in other positions at St. Paul as needed. We all know how working in a Catholic school makes us "Jacks of all trades!". She will be joining Denise Smith as our dynamic cafeteria duo.
We would like to thank Mrs. Mary Graf and Mrs. Kathy Eckstein, who have helped us in the cafeteria while we looked for a permanent person. Their experience and expertise have been invaluable as they help Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Miller adjust to their roles and duties.
We had our first fire drill this week and the kids did an excellent job. We wanted to get it in before next week, when we might see large construction vehicles on campus. Please be aware of them during drop-off and pick-up. There is to be NO parking in the gravel lot in front the of gym. If you need to park and walk your child in,please park in the lower gravel church lot. This is for the safety of everyone on campus.
NWEA testing has started. This is a test that helps identify areas in which we can grow and areas of strengths for individual students. This allows the teachers opportunities to adjust their curriculum to best fit the needs of the students. The NWEA test is taken several times throughout the year and we hope to see growth each time.
Hope to see you all at the church picnic on Sunday!
Peace and Blessings,
Mrs. Kirschner
