Dress for Success - October collection
What would you wear to a job interview? That is exactly the type of clothing Dress for Success is looking to distribute to our clients. Your fabulous suits and other professional apparel could furnish another person with the confidence to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression and land a job that could change their life.
Additionally, many of their clients go directly to an interview, so please ensure that all items donated are freshly dry-cleaned / laundered, and suitable for wearing to job interviews.
Type of clothing accepted (they accept for both men and women)
Coordinated, contemporary, interview-appropriate skirt and pant suits
Blouses & shirts appropriate for interviews and a work environment
Professional separates including blouses/shirts, slacks/pants, skirts, dresses, blazers and jackets
Seasonally appropriate coats
You may hang your items up in the link - we will be collecting through the end of October
Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day - October 6th
Freedom House has joined forces with The Partnership for A Drug-Free New Jersey for Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day. Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day is a project of the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey, in cooperation with the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse; the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Addiction Services; and the Community Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Morris.
On October 6, New Jersey volunteers will lead an effort to help protect families and communities from the tragedies of overdose and addiction by hanging door knockers in their communities.
While it’s becoming more difficult to ignore the tragedies associated with this epidemic, there are still many people who are unaware of the link between prescription opioids and heroin abuse.
It's time to make sure every New Jersey resident is equipped with information that could help save lives. Please join us to help Knock Out Opioid Abuse on October 6. For more information please visit:
Giving Gardens at the Ross Farm
We have now harvested over 1500 pounds of fresh produce!
Message to volunteers-please don’t let the weather keep you away. We still have things to harvest and our produce is still lovely and welcome!
October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month
AGFineArt (Andrea Giordano) has placed candles in the link for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They are $12.75 plus tax ($13.63 total). You may purchase them by leaving a check in the basket provided. You may also visit her website,

Please take a moment to look at the new art installation in Bryan's Room courtesy of Andrea. It’s a special print edition giclee on canvas of her painting “The Tree Of Dreams”, which was inspired by the Roald Dahl story The BFG. She has gifted it to St. Mark's in appreciation for supporting her artistic endeavors. Thank you, Andrea.
