This week at The Ridge
We are looking forward to an excellent time together this week. In the Sunday morning service, we will continue in Ephesians 4.7-16. I would encourage you to read it again.
Immediately following the service, we will have an all-church meal. This is to celebrate the first anniversary of Eileen and I being here at
Let me just say how thankful we are to the Lord for bringing us here, and how much we have grown to love you. We’re so happy to be here, and look forward to a long and fruitful tenure together as the Lord leads us into the future.
At the beginning of the time together for the meal on Sunday, we will have a very short business meeting. We have asked Paul Bruns to be an elder of
He has attended a few elder meetings, and we feel confident that he belongs on the board.
Per our bylaws, the elder board appoints elders, and the church then formally affirms that appointment. We will give the church the opportunity to do just that, and to give a warm welcome to Paul as a new elder. He and Bonnie have been a tremendous blessing to
as well as to me personally. I am very excited about this new role.
The youth group is meeting Sunday evening at 6:00 at the Rowlands home, 4610 Oak Creek Drive.
Our men’s Bible study will be continuing on, meeting again at 6:00 on Sunday evening. We are moving into a new area, and will be studying the life of Abraham. The text is Genesis 12.1-9.
I created a new Flocknote group for men, and if you did not receive a Flocknote regarding this meeting, and would like to be added to the list, please give me an email address.
We are still in the process of putting together a Missions Convention for the church. If you would like to be a part of helping plan this, please let me know right away.
Here are a few of the songs we will worship with tomorrow:
All the Way My Savior Leads Me
(this is not the hymn)
Heart of Worship
Let’s look forward to an awesome day together!
