An Important Request
The Feast of Our Patroness, the Immaculate Conception, falls on Saturday December 8 this year.
We have decided to honor the Blessed Mother by celebrating it in a grander way than we have in recent times. We will begin the day with
Breakfast with Santa
, follow it with the
5PM Mass and Christmas Tree Lighting
, and end it with a truly heavenly
a capella concert by the Angelica Choir, with a reception to follow in the Vic
To lend greater importance to the significance of the Feast,
and to ask the Blessed Mother for Her prayers and intercession,
I ask you to join your parish family beginning tomorrow, November 30th,
to pray a Novena to Her.
Below is a prayer that you may use for the Novena. The Novena (or 9 days of prayer) will end on Her Feast Day, at which time you will also attend Mass for this beautiful Holy Day of Obligation. Parents, please especially pray the Novena with your children. There has not been a more important time to ask Our Lord Jesus Christ, through His Blessed Mother, for their protection.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Prayer to Mary, the Immaculate Conception
you prepared the Virgin Mary to be the worthy Mother of your Son. You let her share beforehand in the salvation Christ would bring by his death, and keep her sinless from the first moment of her conception. Help us by her prayers to live in your presence without sin. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.
