Dear Catechetical & Youth Ministry Leaders,
Although July seems like a long way off, it’s time to start planning for the 2019 Steubenville East Youth Conference. The conference will be held on July 12-14, 2019 at the Tsongas Arena at the University of Massachusetts campus in Lowell. The theme for the conference is “Belong”. Parishes may register for the conference in one of two ways: either with the diocesan group or as their own parish group.
Registering with the Diocesan GroupIf your parish would like to attend with the Diocesan group we will have a limited number of spaces available. These spaces will be given out on a first come-first serve basis. Ideally these spaces are used for parishes that have either not attended a Steubenville Conference in the past or only have a small number of teenagers looking to attend. The cost to attend with the diocesan group is $275 which includes:
- Cost of registration and meals
- 2 t-shirts
- Bus transportation to and from the conference
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spaces with the diocese. Please contact Carolyn Galgano at
cgalgano@worcesterdiocese.org to reserve your spaces in the diocesan group. If you are attending with the diocesan group, DO NOT REGISTER ONLINE.
Registering as a Parish Group
If you are registering as your own as a parish group,
REGISTRATION OPENS ON JANUARY 15, 2019. Spaces for the conference tend to go quickly so please reserve your spaces as soon as possible. Please click on the link to find more information on this year’s conference including speakers, schedules, prices, and to register your parish group:

Just a reminder that you must provide 1 chaperone (age 21+) for every 8 teens.
Also, this year we are happy to announce that the Youth Ministry Office be providing a limited number of scholarships for teens from the Diocese of Worcester to attend Franciscan LEAD: a five-day, Christ-centered, sacrament-soaked, prayer fueled immersion in Catholic teachings on leadership, evangelization, and discipleship inspired by the life and witness of St. Francis of Assisi. LEAD gives teens the tools to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus and then gives them the essentials for servant leadership and evangelization. If you have a teen in your parish who would benefit from the LEAD experience please contact Carolyn Galgano at
cgalgano@worcesterdiocese.org. For more information please visit:

Finally, I have included a video introducing the theme for this year’s Steubenville Conference:
