Testing for Juniors
On Tuesday, March 21st, juniors will report to school at the normal time to take the ACT Test. The test will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at approximately 12:30 p.m. We will provide a small snack and bottled water for the students during a scheduled break.
Freshmen, sophomores, and seniors will have a home study day on this day. Teachers will assign work to be completed at home.
Jakob stopped by for a visit today and brought a little sunshine with his cheerful smile. #hwangstrong!
In his battle against Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Jakob’s tumor grew a little larger rather than shrinking as it should have with his treatment. Jakob was prepared for a stem cell transplant and will soon be undergoing this treatment. Because his stem cell treatment will leave him weak, Jakob will unfortunately not be able to return to Elyria Catholic for his junior year as originally planned.
The Elyria Catholic community would like to continue our support of the Hwang Family by collecting change to assist them financially. Beginning Monday and throughout Lent, there will be four containers set up near the main office for students to donate change to the Hwang Family. After Easter vacation, the change will be counted, and the class collecting the most change will be awarded a dress down day.
