Muffins with Mom

Christ the King's pre-K (4 year olds) treated their Moms with a sweet Mother's Day card, hand made with love, along with a "Prayer for Motherhood" prayer card and each served his/her Mom muffins, fruit and juice. The Moms were treated like royalty by their precious little ones. A special thank you to their teacher, Mrs. Cummings for the activity.

CTK students participated in the May Crowning on May 5th. Each class had a representative bring flowers in for Mary. Eighth graders, selected by Miss Chrisman from a letter they wrote as to why they should have the priviledge of participating in the ritual, carried in and performed the crowning of Mary. The eight graders also led a living rosary.

Matthew Kelly, founder of the organization Dynamic Catholic and author of several books including Resisting Happiness, will be speaking at Oklahoma City’s Cox Convention Center Arena on Saturday, September 30. His presentations have been sold out in nearly every venue across the nation. If you are not familiar with Dynamic Catholic, check out their website at www.dynamiccatholic.com. Their mission is “To re-energize the Catholic Church in America by developing world-class resources that inspire people to rediscover the genius of Catholicism,” and their vision is “To be the innovative leader in the New Evangelization, helping Catholics and their parishes become the-best-version-of-themselves.”

Would you like to go to this event as a group? If we get 20-30 people, we can look into getting a bus and group-priced tickets. Regular price tickets are $39.00.

Altar Server Appreciation Lunch

As a "Thank You" to the fourth through eighth graders for serving at Mass this year, Father Matt treated them to an appreciation lunch of pizza on Wednesday this week.

Chris and Isaac will celebrate their Ordination to the Transitional Diaconate on May 20th.

Christ the King’s Meals on Wheels weekends are rapidly approaching. Our weekends are June 3-4 and 10-11. If you are willing and able to help, please contact Maxine Chippeaux at 943-1444 to volunteer.
