On the evening of the first day,
the doors were locked,
where the disciples were,
for fear of the Jews,
Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them,
“Peace be with you."
When he said this, he showed them his hands and his side.
The disciples rejoiced
when they saw the Lord.
[Jesus] said to them again,
“Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me,
so I send you."
And when he had said this,
he breathed on them
and said to them,
“Receive the holy Spirit."
John 20: 19 -22
> In what ways might we be fearful about an encounter with the Lord?
> Can you describe your own experiences with the peace, especially a peace that might have come from God?
> The scriptures indicate that the disciples were being sent. This is true for each of us as well. Towards where and what do you believe the Lord is calling you to be sent?
> PRAYER: Repeat slowly and carefully three times
"Come, Holy Spirit.
Send me to do your will"
